Ajit Gupta, Chairman of AAyuja
Ajit Gupta is a Silicon-Valley based entrepreneur and the founder of Aryaka, AAyuja and Speedera Networks.
He founded AAyuja in July 2006, serving as the CEO. He is currently the Chairman of the company. Ajit is also the Chairman and Founder at JantaKhoj, an India-based, comprehensive people search engine and provider of background verification service.
1999 – Ajit’s first successful venture was Speedera Networks. Speedera became one of the fastest growing private companies in Silicon Valley and in the North American technology industry in five years, as ranked by both Deloitte & Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
2004 – Speedera-India is launched in Bangalore to drive the company’s accelerated global expansion project. Speedera was acquired in 2005 by Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM) for a stock transaction valued at more than $500 million one year later.
2008 – Ajit is also the founder, president and CEO of Aryaka, a cloud-based WAN Optimization and application acceleration company. Aryaka was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Milpitas, CA, with offices in Bangalore, India. Over a period of about 2.5 years, Ajit and his team have raised $49.5 million USD in three rounds of funding from InterWest Partners, Presidio Ventures – a Sumitomo Corporation Company, Trinity Ventures, Mohr Davidow Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners.
2009 – Ajit launches JantaKhoj along with Tarun Bangari. JantaKhoj is a leading information services company providing businesses and individual consumers with ability to take informed decisions through people search and background verifications. JantaKhoj has become one of the largest people search engine on Indians and is ISO 9001:2008 certified for background verification processes.
Ajit is a founding board member of the IIT-Roorkee Heritage Fund. He also established a philanthropy program for Speedera called “Giving Back”, which provided free Internet infrastructure services to non-profit organizations including Unicef.org and Goodwill Industries.
